The C/Y axis module is an add on to the basic X and Z module and will allow you to create cylindrical or facing toolpaths using the C axis or a combination of C and Y axis such as

Sprials for oil ways and cams

Grooves can be easily created on the end of the billet or around the outside by selecting the groove option and entering the sizes of the feature

End face or cross drill holes can be defined which can be counter bored, chamfered, tapped, reamed or bored.

Hole options

Profiles [Top of Page]

Profiles for hexagons, flats and flanges can be easily created and machined. Toolpaths for roughing and finishing the profile are available with options for tool radius compensation, lead in and outs etc. Depths of cut, number of passes and finishing allowances can be specified.

 

Pockets [Top of Page]

Any shape of pocket can be machined allowing for island avoidance. Toolpaths for roughing and finishing the pocket are available with options for tool radius compensation, lead in and outs etc. Depths of cut, number of passes and finishing allowances can be specified.
